VARIAC Variable Autotransformers - Distortion free, efficient, durable and accurate variable autotransformers for controlling ac voltage control. Typical applications include: heat output, light intensity, motor speed, and the outputs of various power supplies. The VARIAC is available in hundreds of standard versions to satisfy line frequency, voltage, and phase requirements, load size, mounting demands and enclosures. They can be supplied with motor drives, ball bearings, and in ganged assemblies to increase basic line-voltage and load-current ratings. It is also available in militarized models for 400- hertz operation.
Variac Single Phase Series
The VARIAC single phase open frame variable autotransformers are available in 120V,240V and 480V inputs at 50/60Hz. They are offered in many standard versions to satisfy all requirements.
Variac Portable Series
Portable metered or un-metered, cased models answer the need for laboratory, test bench and field service applications. Each unit consists of a variable autotransformer, a voltmeter, ammeter and/or wattmeter and thermal overload protection. The VARIAC portable units are available in 120 volt or 240 V single phase at 50/60Hz.
Variac Three Phase Series
The VARIAC three phase open frame variable autotransformers are available in 208/240V and 480V inputs at 50/60 and 400Hz. They are offered in many standard versions to satisfy all requirements.
Variac 400Hz
Designed for use at line frequencies between 350 and 400Hz. They are considerably smaller and lighter the 60Hz models.
